PARABEN NEDİR, ZARARLARI NELERDİR?

Günümüz dünyasında doğal yaşam, doğal beslenme ve hatta kişisel temizlik bile artık eskisinden çok daha zor. Çünkü, günlük hayatta kullandığımız kozmetik ürünlerin, ilaçların, cilt bakım ürünlerinin, gıdaların ve temizlik ürünlerinin çoğunda paraben var. Peki, tüm uzmanların “uzak durun” diye uyardığı bu paraben nedir?

Paraben bir koruyucu; ürünlerin raf ömrünü uzatıyor ve zararlı bakteri ve mantar oluşumunu engelliyor. Düşük maliyetli olduğundan, birçok kozmetik ve kişisel bakım ürününde kullanılıyor. Eğer kozmetik ürünlerinin arka etiketlerinin üzerinde methylparaben, ethylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben ya da benzylparaben isimlerini görüyorsanız, bilin ki o üründe paraben bulunuyor.Toksiktir, vücutta toksin birikmesine yol açar.

Zararları Nedir ?

  • Egzama ve tahriş gibi alerjik reaksiyonları tetikler.
  • Vücuttaki östrojen hormonunu taklit eder ve meme kanseri riskini ciddi orana artırır.
  • Cilt tarafından emildiği için tüm vücuda, tüm dokulara, hatta kana ve idrara bile karışabilir
  • Endokrin sisteme büyük zarar verir. Yani, beze oluşumu ve hormon üretimine müdahale eder.
  • Bebek ve çocuklarda gelişim ve bağışıklık sistemi sorunlarına sebep olur.
  • Erkek üreme fonksiyonlarının bir kısmına zarar verme riski vardır. Bazı çalışmalardan elde edilen bilgilere göre, erkeklerde testesteron seviyesinde azalma meydana getirir ve sperm sayısını düşürür.
  • Vücuttan atılan ya da atık ürünlerin içerisinde kalmış olan paraben, parçalanamadığı için göller, dereler, ırmaklar ve kanalizasyon sularına karışarak, tarımda ve günlük olarak kullanılan sulara karışır. Dolayısıyla, vücuttan attığımızı ve tamamen kurtulduğumuzu sandığımız bu toksik madde, çevresel etkenlerle, belirli bir döngü içerisinde vücudumuza geri dönebilir ve sağlığımızı tehdit etmeye devam edebilir.
  • Erken yaşlanmaya sebebiyet verir. Cildi gençleştirmek ve güzelleştirmek amacıyla üretilen ürünlerin içerisinde olan parabenin erken yaşlanmaya yol açması ironik görünse de, uzmanlar, bu konuda insanları uyarıyor.
  • Yapılan araştırmalar, parabenin güneş ışınına karşı hassasiyet geliştirerek güneşin vücuda verdiği hasarı artırdığını ve cilt hücrelerinin normalden daha hızlı öldüğünü gösteriyor.
